Woodfired Rose Cup Pair A

Two Rose cups from an all women's woodfiring! The variation of texture and "juciness" show how the cup was facing in the kiln. If the image is more clear it was facing away from the flame. If the color is altered or the image is dripping it was facing towards the flame. The 3 dots on the bottom are from wadding balls that hold the cup off of the kiln shelf so that the flame can pass beneath the cup.  A beautiful demonstration of the variation that comes from  firing with the elements!
